Montreal Poutine

My First Adventure:

Last thursday evening I went for a stroll down to Old Montreal - a place I love for its classy cobblestone roads, bustling bars, pretty views of the river, and adorably tacky horse and carriage rides. But on this trip, I found a whole new reason to love it. I was able to spot the swinging wooden sign of Montreal Poutine from down the street, and after a quick look at the menu I was sold. Smoked meat pizza? Yes. Poutine? Yes. Italian sausage on that poutine? Definitely. When the food came, it took all my willpower to stall my attack on the meal. But I managed to do so just long enough to take a few pictures:
Smoked meat pizza with salad
Italian Sausage Poutine
Both of the above dishes were top notch (and don't worry, they were shared...). The atmosphere was perfect too - all the servers are fun, young, very french, and helpful with beer recommendations. If it's nice out, they have a patio that extends onto the street that is perfect for people watching (tonnes of nicely dressed people going out to dinner at classier places than you are...) And the best part of sitting next to the bustling street is that it's loud enough to drown out the sound of your arteries crying for mercy! All in all, a highly positive experience. And enough grease to tide me over until my next adventure.....
